Olympics after cruising into the final of African
championship.
Nigeria’s U-23 side yesterday emerged as the
first team to qualify for 2016 Olympics in Rio,
Brazil. The Samson Siasia-led team made it
through after defeating host Senegal 0-1 to
qualify for the final at the ongoing African
Championship.

A second half penalty was all the Dream Team
needed to grab a slot in Brazil after defeating
Senegal in the semi-final.
Etebo Oghenekaro scored the penalty after
Ousseynou Thioune brought down Nigeria’s
Eyo Ebong who was aiming for goal.
The hero of the day was however Nigeria’s
goalkeeper, Emmanuel Daniel who was in his
best form at the Stade Léopold-Sédar-
